Fairing Manufacturing Process Explained

Injection Moulding

This is the most commonly used plastic moulding process
for making parts from thermoplastic and thermosetting
plastic materials. Plastic is placed into a heated chamber
and melted. Then the melted plastic is injected through
a nozzle into the mould cavity and once it is full, constant
pressure is applied to allow for material shrinkage. The
plastic then cools and hardens in the mould. To reduce the
risk of weak spots using this process, the part to be made
must have its thickness kept uniform throughout. Most OE
and aftermarket plastic fairing kits are made like this.

Compression Moulding

This is a high-volume, high pressure moulding method and
is a lot cheaper than injection moulding. Not much material
is wasted: good for working with expensive materials. The
plastic (generally preheated) is put into a heated metal
mould cavity and pressure is applied (normally via a
hydraulic ram) to force the plastic into contact with all of
the mould’s areas. Heat and pressure are maintained until
the plastic cures. One of the most common methods is
sheet moulding compound (SMC), where the material is
usually cut to conform to the mould’s surface area and
laid in sheets into the mould.

Will my item come from Overseas?

Yes they will, we are in direct contact with the manufacturer.

I've heard bad reports about so called overseas products, why are yours any different?

We only deal with the best.

We try our best to give you the best possible quality but sometimes things arn't always perfect.

We will send you a photo of your finished items before delivery. Any changes can be made then. Not a problem

I'ver heard reports that some aftermarket fairings melt, are yours these?

We hope not!

We would suggest that you fit the kit to your bike and check that theres no issues with heat. Our fairings come with Heat Matt if we believe its required. If you have any problems due to heat we will change the panel concerned. This is not at all common.

Will I be charged Duty when my Fairings Arrive?

Yes you may have to pay duty. However, this is not usually the case.

How long will it take for Delivery

The whole process takes usually 10 - 14 days - This all depends on what Motorcycle Fairingsyou have ordered and how complex your paint scheme is. Some kits have over 20 components to make. We use EMS to deliver our products.

What happens if I can't reach you by phone?

Use the Contact Us form from the menu. We haven't gone out of business and taken your money.... We're probably just very busy!

Do you give a tracking number when sending my goods?

Yes we will give you a tracking number as soon as the item is ready for delivery.

What are your delivery charges?

Free delivery to the following Countries

US, CANADA Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Greece, Portugal, France, Swiss, Austria, Germany, UK, Ireland, Lexumburg, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland

£60 delivery charge for the following countries

Belarus, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, kazakstan, Lavtia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Czech, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, South Africa, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

My country isn't listed, can I still place an order?

Yes you can - we will get you a seperate delivery quote upon request.

What happens if my goods are damaged or there's a quality issue?

We will happily send you a replacement. Proof of what the problem is will be required.
A photo is usually sufficient.

I hate ordering across the Internet and worried about being ripped off!

We won't rip you off. All our team are motorcycle fanatics. We know what you want and know what you expect.

How's the best way to order?

Do it now through our secure payment system. If you use our WorldPay payment option then your card will be debited straight away. However, your money is safe as we don't see your money for at least 3 weeks.

We also offer PAYPAL which have their own security structure.

We will contact every customer to clarify their requirements.

Can I send you pictures of my required colour scheme through the site?

Yes you can - Just use the Contact Us button or the Send A File option from the main menu.
